Jarwey is a Tier-1 distributor for COSINE—selection support, datasheets, samples and small lots, and lead-time coordination.

Sensor conditioning and supply monitoring get dropped onto one op amp far too often. The supply on the amplifier pins decides the part: if the signal and the rails stay inside 5.5 V and the error is drift on a slow DC sensor, start with the 5 V zero-drift op amp COS8552SR. If the amplifier must sit on a 12/24 V field rail or up to 36 V for rail monitoring or motor feedback, start with the 36 V precision op amp COS4177SR.

The 5 V zero-drift bandwidth/Iq ladder is already in the bandwidth ladder note. The 1/2/4-channel 2 MHz matrix is in the 36 V family note. BMS and servo current-sense layout points stay in the COS4177SR application note. This page does not reprint those tables.

Figures follow the 2025 catalog. Confirm the exact datasheet before layout. Datasheets: contact Jarwey.

AD8552 and OP4177 / OPA4277 are the catalog reference grades for evaluation. Matching a reference grade is not a drop-in release; bench the datasheet limits before production.

The COS4177 family catalog also lists 8 nV/√Hz at 1 kHz and 0.33 mA quiescent current. Zero-drift wins on low-frequency offset and tempco; that 1 kHz density figure is not a substitute comparison. Auto-zero outputs carry chopper ripple. If a supply-monitor node feeds an ADC, check ripple against the sample rate in the datasheet.

Checklist before you pick a rail

  1. Pins, not the MCU rail: measure V+ / V− on the amplifier. COS8552SR stops at 5.5 V. COS4177SR spans 4.5 V to 36 V.
  2. Common-mode window: the sensor output, or the divided monitor node, has to sit inside the input range. A 24 V bus does not go straight into a 5 V zero-drift input.
  3. Which error matters: drift on temperature, pressure, or weight → zero-drift. A 50 µV / 0.2 µV/°C budget plus high-voltage swing → 36 V precision.
  4. Settling: DC to a few hertz fits 1.5 MHz. Motor feedback that needs faster settling should confirm 2 MHz before jumping to the 10/25 MHz precision families.
  5. Ripple into the ADC: on a zero-drift supply monitor, check whether chopper ripple lands in the sampling bandwidth.
  6. Channel count and package: SOP-8 and SOP-14 do not share a footprint. 5 V single: COS1333TR. 36 V dual: COS2177SR. 36 V single: COS1177SR.
  7. Datasheet and samples: contact Jarwey for the datasheet. Measure drift, supply step, and ADC codes on the board before the BOM is frozen.
