COS4177SR Precision Op Amp: BMS / Servo Current-Sense Essentials
Semiconductor Research 77 2026-07-20 13:35:26
In automotive BMS, OBC, industrial servos and inverters, current sensing and signal conditioning often sit on wide rails. You need low offset for measurement accuracy and a wide supply for industrial/auto voltages—typical ground for a high-voltage precision op amp.
COSINE COS4177SR is a quad precision amplifier in SOP-14. The datasheet lists about 50µV max offset, 0.2µV/°C typical drift, 2MHz GBW, about 330µA Iq per amp, and roughly ±2.25V to ±18V supplies. If you evaluate TI OPA4277 / OPA4202, consider COS4177SR as a second-source path.
What matters for BMS / servo current sense?
1. EV / automotive: BMS, OBC, inverters, motor drives—low-/high-side sense and conditioning across wide supply and temperature.
2. Industrial automation: servo drives and VFDs closing current/position loops.
3. Medical imaging & precision test: MRI/CT, AWGs, scopes, DAQ fronts that need low offset and linearity.
4. Comms / video: buffering and ADC/DAC drive when bandwidth/slew allow.
