COSINE Tier-1 distributor Jarwey|COS4514TR vs COS4515TR: same SOT-23-5 SPST, complementary logic

Jarwey 2 2026-10-16 10:37:33

Jarwey is a COSINE Tier-1 distributor—datasheets, samples and small lots, lead-time follow-up, and cross-reference help on imported analog-switch lines.

On a vehicle or industrial signal path, two SOT-23-5 SPST analog switches are easy to treat as the same footprint. COS4514TR and COS4515TR are both SPST in SOT-23-5. The COS4515TR product note marks it as the logic/polarity complement of COS4514. The anchors differ as well: COS4514TR lines up with TS12A4514 / MAX4514; COS4515TR lines up with TS12A4515 / MAX4515. That is an evaluation pair. It is not a package-level swap.

The family matrix and the DAQ split (analog vs USB vs RF) are already published. This note only answers which SPST the BOM should call. Request the datasheet from Jarwey; do not assume a public PDF is attached to the product page.

Same outline, opposite logic

Part Package As listed Anchor (verify) Page
COS4514TR SOT-23-5 SPST analog switch TS12A4514 / MAX4514 989
COS4515TR SOT-23-5 SPST; logic/polarity complement of COS4514 TS12A4515 / MAX4515 990

Catalog and product pages place both parts in automotive and industrial control. On-resistance, supply range, leakage, and the truth table stay in the datasheet—this page does not invent those figures. “Complement” means the on/off sense is opposite at the same enable level. Which level closes the switch is a datasheet check, then a sample measurement.

A two-throw path is a different device: COS3157ST (SPDT, SOT-23-6; anchors TS5A3157 / SN74LVC1G3157 / FSA3157—verify). High-speed USB sits on the MSOP-10 muxes COSTS3USB30E and COSUSB42MUX. Path split for a DAQ board: analog vs USB vs RF. Wider switch list: analog-switch family.

Checklist before the BOM moves

  1. Anchor: the drawing says TS12A4514 / MAX4514, or TS12A4515 / MAX4515.
  2. Logic sense: COS4514TR, or the complement COS4515TR. The word SPST does not decide it.
  3. Package: both are SOT-23-5. A matching outline is not a swap approval.
  4. Truth table: request the datasheet from Jarwey, then confirm enable versus conduction on a sample, including the power-up default.
  5. Signal: automotive or industrial analog / slower paths. Keep high-speed USB off these two SPST parts.
  6. SPDT: if the net must pick one of two routes, evaluate COS3157ST in SOT-23-6.
  7. Lots: order samples against the exact part number; run a polarity check before a small production lot.
