Custom TRIAC dimmer module BL-TRIAC: send the load and the wall control, Jarwey returns the design
A custom TRIAC dimmer module is a project file, not a catalog line. BL-TRIAC is Jarwey’s own module for constant-voltage and constant-current LED supplies. You send the load, the wall control, and the curve. Jarwey returns the design, the written scheme, and the delivered module. It is project-based, not catalog stock.
How the phase-cut waveform enters a CV or CC supply is already covered in BL-TRIAC leading/trailing-edge wiring. This note does not reprint that wiring table. It lists what the project must specify, and which rows in the module note the design is allowed to lock.
Signal path in the note: RC filter, op-amp conditioning, MCU AD, dimming curve, PWM, for deep dimming. Power-up includes soft-start. The note describes the light as fine, stable, smooth, and free of jitter, and it says the behavior can be customized, including software changes for a non-standard protocol. Figures the note does not give — soft-start time, extra pin numbers — stay blank here.
What you send, what the design may lock
The right-hand column uses only the BL-TRIAC module note.
| Item you own | Write this | Design lock (module note) |
|---|---|---|
| Load | CV LED strip, CV magnetic track, or CC fixture | Strip: R19 = 10kΩ, PWM 16kHz. Magnetic track: R18 = 10kΩ, PWM 10kHz. CC fixture: PWM 1kHz; the note does not assign a resistor |
| Wall control | Brand and full model | Listed for evaluation: Opple leading-edge P068102, Panasonic WMY549, Legrand VRCM2, Siemens 5UH82223-NC01, Lutron leading-edge QSGR-3P, Siemens 5WG1 528-1D801, Schneider leading-edge L5504D2A. Bench check required. Not a drop-in replacement |
| Phase cut | Leading edge, trailing edge, or a non-standard protocol | Pin 5 SW senses the TRIAC voltage and controls the leading/trailing peripheral. Function is customizable |
| Curve | Accept the default log curve, or attach your brightness points | Log dimming by default; customizable |
| Aux supply | High-voltage auxiliary rail, or secondary rail | Supply min 12V, typ 15V, max 30V. Current typ 5mA, max 10mA |
| PWM exit | High-side PWM, or a pin that drives the MOSFET directly | Pin 6 PWM is the high-side output and is customizable. Pin 9 DIMIN/PWM OUT drives the MOSFET. Duty min 0%, max 100% |
| Delivery | Sample qty, small-batch qty, requested date, OEM mark | Sampling and delivery follow the project. Interface and marking are part of the scheme |
Pins (names from the module note)
| Pin | Name | Note |
|---|---|---|
| — | ACL | Supply input, L, after the fuse |
| 2 | ACN | Supply input, N |
| — | VCC | Module positive supply, taken from the high-voltage auxiliary |
| 4 | GND | Module negative supply, high-voltage GND |
| 5 | SW | Senses TRIAC voltage; controls the leading/trailing peripheral (customizable) |
| 6 | PWM | High-side PWM output (customizable) |
| 7 | AGND | Module negative supply, secondary AGND |
| 8 | VDD | Module positive supply, secondary VDD |
| 9 | DIMIN/PWM OUT | PWM output, drives the MOSFET directly |
The note assigns no pin number to ACL or VCC. Do not invent one on the requirement sheet.
Electrical limits
| Item | Min | Typ | Max |

| Dimming curve | Logarithmic by default; customizable | ||
Checklist before a custom build
- One load row only: strip CV (R19 = 10kΩ, 16kHz), magnetic CV (R18 = 10kΩ, 10kHz), or CC fixture (1kHz, resistor not stated). Do not merge the three PWM rates.
- Full wall-control model: use the seven evaluation models above. A bench check is not an unverified drop-in.
- Edge and protocol: leading or trailing; whether pin 5 SW needs a software change.
- Curve: default log, or your own brightness points.
- Aux rail: high-voltage VCC/GND, or secondary pin 8 VDD and pin 7 AGND. Voltage must sit between min 12V, typ 15V, and max 30V.
- PWM destination: pin 6 high-side, or pin 9 to the MOSFET. Duty 0% to 100%.
- Lot: sample count, small batch, requested date. For the datasheet, contact Jarwey.
Two lines that stay in the same scheme
Cost: evaluate those wall controls on the bench instead of paying the imported-wall-box premium. Lead time: samples and small lots follow the project; interface, curve, PWM tier, edge-sense logic, and OEM mark move with the scheme. A brand price grid is a different note.
