Gree Xinyuan Tier-1 distributor Jarwey｜CD11ZL vs CD298K: match 105°C hours before low ESR
Jarwey is a Tier-1 distributor for Gree Xinyuan capacitors, and can help with selection, datasheets, samples, small lots, and lead time.
A control-board radial and an inverter-bus snap-in are both sold as “long-life electrolytics.” They are not the same load-life class. CD11ZL is the radial, low-ESR series: published endurance sits in a 4,000–10,000 hour band, not a single 10,000-hour claim for every voltage. CD298K is the snap-in series with a 5,000-hour guarantee at 105°C. A 2,000-hour CD294 line is a different bin, even when the ripple number looks larger. Ask Jarwey for the datasheet of the exact part. A catalog cross-reference is an evaluation start, not a drop-in. Two catalog pages do not always agree on can height or ripple for the same voltage and capacitance.

Family limits for CD298 / CD298K: 315–600 VDC, 47–1500 μF, −40°C (some ratings −25°C) to +105°C, endurance 5,000 hours at 105°C. Ripple on the series table is specified at 105°C and 120 Hz. The catalog also lists a 410 V / 940 μF row. The two live product pages for this check are 315 V / 1200 μF and 550 V / 470 μF. Other voltages need a datasheet from Jarwey; do not borrow the neighboring can size.
Against an imported long-life part, the CD11ZL page points at a Rubycon-class low-ESR radial, and the two CD298K pages point at a 5,000-hour snap-in class. Match rated voltage, load-life hours at the same case temperature, ripple with its temperature and frequency, and ESR at the frequency printed on that datasheet. Same outline is not authorization to skip the measurement.
Gree Xinyuan is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gree Electric; published ratings stay on the conservative side of the catalog. Hours still have to match. On the appliance table, CD294 450 V / 1000 μF is −25 to +105°C, 2,000 h, about 3.50 A at 120 Hz, Φ35×60. A larger ripple number does not promote that row into the 5,000-hour bin.
Seven checks before layout
- Package first: radial CD11ZL on the control board; snap-in CD298K on the inverter or VFD bus.
- Hours at one temperature: CD298K is 5,000 h at 105°C. CD11ZL is a 4,000–10,000 h span — pick the voltage and capacitance, then read that line.
- Leave the 2,000 h row alone: a published CD294 line is 2,000 h at 105°C. It is not the import 5,000 h comparison.
- Ripple keeps its footnote: 3.25 A and 2.03 A are the appliance-table 120 Hz figures. The series table’s milliamp lines can sit on a different can. Match diameter and height before you quote either.
- ESR from that part only: CD11ZL is labeled low ESR with no ohm value in the series table. Do not import another series’ 100 kHz condition.
- Voltage is not interchangeable: choose 315 V / 1200 μF or 550 V / 470 μF from the bus peak, with margin. More microfarads does not raise the voltage rating.
- Samples: datasheet and a small lot from Jarwey. Measure temperature rise and ripple on the board before the production buy.
