Jarwey is a SUPU Tier-1 distributor and can support selection, datasheets, samples, small lots, and lead time.

Field wire on a cabinet rail and a pluggable lead at the board edge are different terminals. The 2.5 mm DIN parts 241202 / 241203 / 241204 are the 2-, 3-, and 4-pole pieces. The PCB spring parts 435304 (4 positions) and 435318 (18 positions) solder to the board. This note answers where the wire lands. It does not restock an older general terminal guide.

Most of these product pages have no datasheet file. Ask Jarwey. The table is an install split; check the drawing and the bench before a build.

2.5 mm DIN rail vs PCB spring terminals

PartWhere it sitsWhat the page statesCross-check (measure first)Page

241203DIN rail3-pole, 2.5 mm, graySame family, 3 poles539
241204DIN rail4-pole, 2.5 mm, graySame family, 4 poles578
435304PCB spring terminalName says 3.5 mm, 4 positions. Long text also says 3.81 mm, 0.14–1.5 mm², 10 A/320 VWAGO 734-104 / 734-164 class537
435318PCB spring terminal3.5 mm, 18 positions. Current and wire range are not on the pageWAGO 734-178 class526
450612PCB terminal5.0 mm, 12 positions. Current is not on the page5.0 mm pitch. Do not share a footprint with the 3.5 mm parts531

435304 does not agree with itself on pitch. Use the datasheet footprint from Jarwey for pad, pin length, and hole size. A WAGO cross-reference line is not a board change.

Place first, pole count second

Rail. Sensor leads, incoming power, and cabinet jumpers that stay on DIN rail use 241202 (2 poles), 241203 (3 poles), or 241204 (4 poles). Pick the pole count from the wires you actually land. Two 2-pole blocks side by side are not a 4-pole block. All three pages show a gray housing. Gray does not mean protective earth.

Board edge. When the lead has to unplug with the board, move to a PCB terminal. Four positions: start with 435304. Eighteen positions: 435318. If the board pitch is already 5.0 mm, use 450612. Do not drop a 3.5 mm series onto a 5.0 mm footprint.

Checklist

  1. Where the wire sits. Cabinet rail: 241202 / 241203 / 241204. Board edge: 435304, 435318, or 450612.
  2. Pole count. Match 2, 3, or 4 poles to those three rail parts. Do not parallel blocks to fake a pole count.
  3. Footprint drawing. 435304 is named 3.5 mm and described elsewhere as 3.81 mm. Read the datasheet pad drawing before the order.
  4. Positions and family. Keep 4-position and 18-position parts apart. 450612 owns a 5.0 mm footprint.
  5. Wire and current. Only the 435304 page states 0.14–1.5 mm² and 10 A/320 V. Do not copy those numbers onto the rail parts, 435318, or 450612. Ask Jarwey for those datasheets.
  6. Marking. Gray is the housing color on these three rail parts. PE and polarity come from the legend and the drawing.
  7. Samples. Get the datasheet from Jarwey. Check pull-out and temperature rise on the real rail or board before you treat a WAGO number as replaced.
