COSINE Tier-1 distributor Jarwey|COS4421SR Vcc is not the −5 V off level on WM2HA020120L
Jarwey is a COSINE Tier-1 distributor for selection support, datasheets, samples, small lots, and lead time.
A 9 A gate-driver search and a 1200 V SiC MOSFET search land on different rails. COS4421SR is a dual inverting low-side driver, 9 A peak, one Vcc from 4.5 V to 25 V, SOP-8, listed for MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, and GaN. The product page does not show a negative output. WM2HA020120L is a CETC 55th Institute G2 SiC MOSFET. Datasheet version 3.0 sets recommended gate operation at −5 V / +18 V and absolute maximum gate voltage at −10 V / +23 V. That off level is not the driver Vcc pin.
Jarwey is a Tier-1 distributor for CETC Guiji Nanfang (55th Institute) SiC power devices. CETC is the group mark; Guiji Nanfang is the unit under it. The 1.5 A / 4 A / 6 A / 9 A family tables, the low-side polarity split, and the 600 V high-side/low-side table stay where they are.
Which voltage you are actually copying
| Quantity | Part | What the source states | Do not treat it as | Page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SiC gate window | WM2HA020120L | Datasheet v3.0: VGSop −5 / +18 V recommended; VGSmax −10 / +23 V absolute. VDS 1200 V, RDS(on) 20 mΩ typical at VGS=18 V, ID=60 A, TO-247-4 | Driver Vcc | 4 |
| Low-side driver supply | COS4421SR | Product page: dual inverting, 9 A peak, single Vcc 4.5–25 V, SOP-8. Search anchors TC4421 / FAN3121 need a bench check | A −5 V off rail | 972 |
| Shut both outputs on a fault | COS3121SR | Product page: dual inverting with enable, 9 A peak, still a single Vcc 4.5–25 V, SOP-8 | A negative supply | 974 |
On that same WM2HA020120L datasheet, typical QG is 217 nC at VDS=800 V, VGS=−5 / 18 V, ID=32 A. The 9 A peak is about moving that charge. It does not create the −5 V level. Enable is a logic input. The COS3121SR page does not claim a negative generator.
Driver datasheets are not on the product pages — ask Jarwey. If the layout would sit the driver reference at −5 V, read the requested datasheet for the Vcc span, which pin UVLO uses, and which pin the output is referred to before the board is built. This note does not bless that shift, and it is not a drop-in replacement.
Earlier splits stay in their own articles: the 9 A family, low-side polarity, and the 600 V half-bridge. Bootstrap floats the high side. It is not the negative off rail for this 1200 V MOSFET.
Checklist before the gate supply is frozen
- Copy the MOSFET window: WM2HA020120L recommended −5 / +18 V, absolute maximum −10 / +23 V, datasheet v3.0.
- Copy the driver supply: COS4421SR lists one Vcc, 4.5–25 V. That pin is not a −5 V output.
- Enable is a separate choice: open COS3121SR when a fault must kill both channels. Enable does not make −5 V. Vcc matches COS4421SR.
- Charge is a second line: QG 217 nC typical is measured at VDS=800 V, VGS=−5 / 18 V, ID=32 A. Peak current does not replace the supply structure.
- A shifted driver ground needs the datasheet: ask Jarwey for COS4421SR or COS3121SR and check span plus UVLO reference before using −5 V as the driver return.
- Anchors need a measurement: TC4421 and FAN3121 only name the class. Pins, logic levels, and off level come from the bench.
- Samples: driver datasheet, small lots, and schedule through Jarwey. The SiC datasheet is on the WM2HA020120L page.
