SUPU Tier-1 distributor Jarwey|2.5 mm PCB terminal: 04P-2.5mm versus 09P-2.5mm

Jarwey is a SUPU tier-1 distributor and can help with shortlisting, datasheets, samples, and lead time.

On the 2.5 mm PCB terminal pages, read the package line before the model suffix. 425104 and 425404 both print 04P-2.5mm. 425109 and 425409 both print 09P-2.5mm. The third digit, 1 or 4, is never defined as a plug, a header, a screw clamp, or a spring clamp. 425106 and 425406 leave that line as a dash.

The DIN-rail 2.5 mm parts 241202 / 241203 / 241204, the 3.5 mm spring-versus-screw note, and the 450612-versus-450907 pluggable note stay in their own articles. None of these six pages has a datasheet or a product photo. Ask Jarwey for the drawing. Do not borrow current, voltage, or wire size from a neighbor.

What the package line actually prints

ModelPackage lineNumbers in the descriptionDo not inferPage
42510404P-2.5mmOne generic sentence. No contact resistance, mating cycles, current, voltage, or wire size04P stays on this line. It does not fill a 09P page or a blank package line554
42540404P-2.5mmSame generic sentence as 425104. Digit 4 is not explainedMatching text is not proof of the same housing. Pluggable versus fixed is not stated556
42510909P-2.5mmGeneric sentence. No separate pole-count or footprint noteDo not rewrite it as 04P. The trailing 09 is not a second package field555
42540909P-2.5mmSame generic sentence as 425109. No structural split from 425109Do not treat the third digit as a plug-or-header code557
425106—Description says the package is unspecifiedThe trailing 06 is not a pin count. Do not paste 04P or 09P550
425406—Description says the package is unspecifiedA second blank page does not complete the first one, and 425404 does not lend it 04P551

Match the printed string, then stop

Footprint follows the printed string. A board marked 04P-2.5mm starts at 425104 or 425404. A board marked 09P-2.5mm starts at 425109 or 425409. The page never expands 04P or 09P into a separate pin-count row, so the BOM should keep the original string instead of a rewritten pole count.

The 4251 and 4254 prefixes are still open. Each pair shares a package line and shares a description that never names the clamp, the mating half, or the pin direction. The third digit is not a structure code on these pages. Check solder tails, wire entries, and retention on samples. This is not a drop-in approval.

A dash means stop. 425106 and 425406 say the package is unspecified. Their last two digits do not fill that blank. The same reading applied to 450907 on the 5.0 mm pluggable page, but that part is a different pitch and a different article.

The breadcrumb on all six pages says silicon semiconductors, while the product name says connector. Order by model number. None of the pages names a second-source part number, and this note does not assign one.

Selection checklist

  1. Read the package line first: 04P-2.5mm on 425104 and 425404; 09P-2.5mm on 425109 and 425409.
  2. Keep 04P and 09P off each other’s footprint and BOM line.
  3. 425104 versus 425404, and 425109 versus 425409, do not explain the third digit. Do not guess plug, header, screw, or spring.
  4. 425106 and 425406 print a dash. The trailing 06 is not a pin count.
  5. Current, voltage, and wire size are absent. The generic line about contact resistance and mating life has no numbers.
  6. Do not import ratings from the 3.5 mm spring page or the 5.0 mm-12 pin screw page. DIN-rail 241202 prints 2P-2.5mm for a rail terminal, not for this PCB set.
  7. There is no product photo. Ask Jarwey for the datasheet. Confirm pitch, position count, clamp, and pads on samples before the BOM changes.
