COSINE Tier-1 distributor Jarwey|Shutdown op amp: standby <5µA is on COS9002SMRA, not on COS9052S

Jarwey is the COSINE Tier-1 distributor. Datasheets, a shortlist, samples, and lead time go through Jarwey.

For a shutdown op amp, read the function line on each product page before the 4 September 2026 family table. That table is shutdown op amps under 5µA standby. It is not repeated here.

COS9002SMRA is a dual shutdown op amp in MSOP-10. The function line reads: shutdown op amp, GBP 1MHz, standby <5µA.

COS9052S is also a dual shutdown op amp, in SOT-23-6. The function line reads only: shutdown op amp, GBP 5MHz. That line has no standby current and no supply range.

The catalog subcategory “op amps with shutdown” uses one sentence for the whole group: the amplifier can switch to a standby mode with typical current below 5µA, and the supply is 1.8V to 7V. Both part numbers are listed there. The sentence has no min / typ / max columns, and it is not printed again on the COS9052S function line. Do not file it as a checked standby limit for COS9052S.

Stop at the line the page actually prints

The table below is only what the two product pages show today. Neither page has a datasheet PDF.

The September family table copied the subcategory supply and standby onto both rows and also printed quiescent current. Those quiescent figures are not on either product page now, so they are not quoted here. If the board does not need a shutdown pin, the micropower family is a different page: micropower op amps.

Split GBP from the page; keep standby on the part that prints it

GBP 1MHz stays on COS9002SMRA. GBP 5MHz stays on COS9052S. When a portable or medical sleep budget is using standby <5µA as a printed number, the page that shows it is COS9002SMRA. The subcategory sentence alone is not enough to put that limit on a COS9052S line in the BOM.

Both cross-reference lines say only “shutdown op-amp class (must be validated)”. No import part number is given for a pin check. That is not a drop-in replacement.

Selection checklist

  1. Function line first: COS9002SMRA is GBP 1MHz and standby <5µA. COS9052S is GBP 5MHz only.
  2. Do not swap bandwidth: 5MHz does not move onto COS9002SMRA, and 1MHz does not move onto COS9052S.
  3. Standby: <5µA appears on COS9002SMRA. Stop if the COS9052S design needs that number from the page.
  4. 1.8V to 7V: subcategory wording. Neither product page prints it. Use the datasheet before the BOM.
  5. Package: MSOP-10 and SOT-23-6 do not share a footprint.
  6. Shutdown pin: level, timing, and wake-up settling are not on the page. Measure them on the sample.
  7. Paperwork: request the datasheet from Jarwey. Validate any cross-reference before a small build.
