Gree Xinyuan Tier-1 distributor Jarwey|CD296K 450 V 640 µF versus a DC-link film on a storage bus
Jarwey is a Gree Xinyuan tier-1 distributor and can help with the shortlist, the datasheet, samples, and the lead time.
A storage or PV inverter bus can land on either a snap-in aluminum electrolytic or a DC-link film family. Open the part that already has a 120 Hz ripple number when the bus is 450 V and 640 µF is enough. Open the film family only when you still need a part number inside a wide voltage span. CD296K on the product page is one capacitor. DC-link on the other page is a series card.
Figures below are from the September 2026 Gree Xinyuan capacitor catalog, not from a measurement on a single-part datasheet. Ask Jarwey for that datasheet.
The row both tables share
- CD296K 450 V / 640 µF: the appliance snap-in table prints Φ30×55, −40°C to +105°C, 3000 hours at 105°C, and 3.00 A at 120 Hz.
- The on-board-charger CD296K table prints the same 450 V / 640 µF in a 30×55 can with 3000 mA in the ripple column. That column does not print a frequency. The milliampere figure matches 3.00 A. Do not fill in 120 Hz where the column left it blank.
The charger series page states the CD296K envelope as 315–550 VDC, 82–820 µF, −40°C to +105°C, case size 22×25 to 35×60, 3000 hours at 105°C, and cites AEC-Q200, IEC 60384, and GB/T 6346.1. The appliance row does not repeat AEC-Q200. For a charger design, ask Jarwey for the datasheet of part 1036. A series-page compliance line is not the test report of that part.
The energy-storage page titles CD294K and CD296K together and gives 315–600 VDC, 47–1200 µF, and 2000–3000 hours at 105°C. Its 450 V list has no 640 µF, Φ30×55 row. The product page places CD296K in storage programs as a family label. That mixed table is not where the 3.00 A figure comes from.
The film card is a span
- DC-link film: the series card says 450–5000 Vdc, 10–5200 µF, cylinder or box, high voltage, low ESR, high ripple withstand. It gives no single capacitance, no milliohm, no ampere, and no load-life hours.
The industrial metallized-film page covers DC-link and AC-filter parts in one block. It claims stable capacitance from −40°C to 85°C and 15–30 years in a harsh environment. That is family brochure language. It is not the load life of one DC-link part, and it does not convert into the 3000 hours on CD296K. The AC-filter card is separate: 180–1000 Vac, 1–600 µF. The EV brick card is also separate: 450–1200 Vdc, 200–2000 µF, low ESR and low ESL. Neither card is product 1037.
Do not stretch the 450 V electrolytic above the envelope you are using. The charger page stops at 550 VDC. The mixed storage page stops at 600 VDC. Those ceilings are not the same. Above the ceiling you adopt, ask Jarwey for a specific DC-link part number.
Three 560 µF rows that are not part 1036
| Catalog | Row | Can | Ripple | Use for 1036? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Appliance snap-in | CD296K 450 V / 640 µF | Φ30×55 | 3.00 A, stated at 120 Hz | This is 1036 |
| Charger CD296K | 450 V / 640 µF | 30×55 | 3000 mA, frequency not printed | Same magnitude as the row above |
| Appliance snap-in | CD296K 450 V / 560 µF | Φ30×50 | 2.05 A at 120 Hz | No product page |
| Charger CD296K | 450 V / 560 µF | 30×50 | 2540 mA, frequency not printed | Does not match 2.05 A |
| Storage mix, CD294K/CD296K | 450 V / 560 µF | 35×50 | 1850 mA at 105°C, 120 Hz | Different can, series not named |
| Film series card | DC-link | Cylinder / box | High ripple, no ampere | 1037, ask for a part number |
Both Φ30×50 lines say CD296K, 450 V, 560 µF. One ripple is 2.05 A and the other is 2540 mA. Do not average them, and do not use either number to edit the 3.00 A on part 1036. The mixed-table 560 µF row is a 35×50 can.
The 2000-hour, 450 V snap-in split for CD294 and CD294W is in the same-can ripple note. The 5000-hour CD298K note is in load life and ESR. Fan and compressor AC film parts are in CBB61 and CBB65. None of those three belong in the table above.
Seven checks before layout
- Dielectric: 1036 is a snap-in aluminum electrolytic. 1037 is a DC-link film series. Neither row is a CBB AC capacitor or the 180–1000 Vac AC-filter card.
- Voltage ceiling: part 1036 is published at 450 VDC only. The charger series page ends at 550 VDC. The mixed storage page ends at 600 VDC. The DC-link card runs 450–5000 Vdc. Do not rate the 450 V part up to the film span.
- Capacitance: 640 µF is one part. 10–5200 µF is the series span, not the capacitance printed for one SKU on page 1037.
- Ripple frequency: 3.00 A is stated at 120 Hz. The 3000 mA cell has no frequency. There is no public curve for a higher switching frequency, so do not spend 3.00 A against that current. The DC-link card has no ampere.
- Life: this row is 3000 hours at 105°C, −40°C to +105°C. Do not line it up with the 5000 hours on CD298K or the 2000 hours on CD294. Do not convert the film page’s 15–30 years into those 3000 hours.
- 560 µF: 2.05 A and 2540 mA disagree. The 1850 mA row is a 35×50 can. None of the three is product page 1036.
- Datasheet and samples: ask Jarwey for the datasheet of the exact part, then measure temperature rise and ripple on the board. This is an evaluation, not an unverified replacement.
