Nano-power comparators for gas, smoke, meters, and headsets
Jarwey 1 2026-09-07 10:15:22
COSINE nano-power comparators are aimed at gas detectors, smoke/heat alarms, motion detectors, gas meters, position sensors, and headsets/earbuds. Stay here when Iq is hundreds of nA and microsecond response is acceptable; faster edges belong in the low-power or high-speed families.

Product features
Ultra-low quiescent current, low offset, wide supply range.
Applications (vendor-stated)
Gas detectors · smoke/heat alarms · motion detectors · gas meters · position sensors · headsets/earbuds.
Nano-power comparator table
| PN | Ch | Supply | Iq | tpd | Output | Page |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| COS7032 | 2 | 1.6–5.5 V | 350 nA | 3 µs | Push-Pull | 951 |
| COS7042 | 2 | 1.6–5.5 V | 350 nA | 3 µs | Open-Drain | 952 |
Also listed: COS7031 / COS7041. Cross-tier PNs on some BOMs should be re-checked against the matching family.
Checklist before freeze
- Gas / smoke / meter: is the average current budget truly nA-class?
- Motion / position: is 3 µs OK with debounce?
- Headset portables: push-pull COS7032 vs open-drain COS7042 and pull-up noise.
- Supply: 1.6–5.5 V vs end-of-life battery voltage.
- Samples: request datasheet and samples from Jarwey.
