Select COS228-family 36V 25MHz precision op-amps: 1/2/4-ch checklist
Jarwey 3 2026-09-02 15:29:07
COSINE’s catalog splits 36V precision op-amps by bandwidth: 2 MHz / 10 MHz / 25 MHz. If you need faster settling and higher GBP while staying in the high-voltage precision band, evaluate the 36V, 25 MHz family—not by over-driving the 10 MHz COS227 tier, and not by mixing it with 5V zero-drift parts.
Metrics below follow the 2025 catalog public table. Request datasheets from Jarwey; qualify with measured data before production.
Product features
High precision, low drift, low noise density, wide supply range; 1 / 2 / 4 channel split at shared metrics.
Applications
Sensor amplification, medical instruments, portable systems, industrial control processing, weighing scales.
36V / 25 MHz precision family table
| PN | Ch | Supply (V) | GBP (MHz) | Slew | Vos max (µV) | Drift | Noise @1kHz | Iq (mA) | Package | Page |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| COS228USR | 1 | 4.5~36 (±2.25~±18) | 25 | 10 V/µs | 50 | 0.2 µV/°C | 5.0 nV/√Hz | 2.6 | SOP-8 | 911 |
| COS2228USR | 2 | 4.5~36 (±2.25~±18) | 25 | 10 V/µs | 50 | 0.2 µV/°C | 5.0 nV/√Hz | 2.6 | SOP-8 | 912 |
| COS4228UATR | 4 | 4.5~36 (±2.25~±18) | 25 | 10 V/µs | 50 | 0.2 µV/°C | 5.0 nV/√Hz | 2.6 | TSSOP-14 | 913 |
Versus the catalog 10 MHz COS227 family: GBP 10→25 MHz, slew 3→10 V/µs, noise ~6→5 nV/√Hz, Iq ~1.3→2.6 mA. Cross-check OPA228 / OPA2228-class second sources; verify quad package/pinout separately.
7-step checklist before you freeze the BOM
- Do you need 25 MHz? Step up only if 10 MHz settling/bandwidth is insufficient—avoid burning Iq for free.
- Supply: Confirm 36V / ±15V habit vs 5V zero-drift.
- Channels: Match 1 / 2 / 4 to board channel budget.
- Error budget: 50 µV / 0.2 µV/°C inside system allowance?
- Noise: 5.0 nV/√Hz @1 kHz OK for sensor/weighing front-end?
- Thermal / Iq: ~2.6 mA per amp acceptable (especially quads)?
- Package & samples: SOP-8 ≠ TSSOP-14; request datasheets/samples from Jarwey.
