COSINE Tier-1 distributor Jarwey|COS5A23159 is the 1 Ω, 1.8–5.5 V SPDT; COS12A12511 is the 3.6 Ω, 3–16 V SPDT
Jarwey is a COSINE Tier-1 distributor. Two catalog SPDT rows get collapsed into one “analog switch” line item. COS5A23159 is the 1 Ω row. COS12A12511 is the 3–16 V row. They do not share a supply window, an on-resistance, or a package.
On the 2025 COSINE catalog analog-switch table, COS5A23159 is Ch 1, SPDT, VCC 1.8–5.5 V, ICC <1 µA, RON 1 Ω, −3 dB bandwidth 90 MHz, packages MSOP-10 / QFN-10. The live page titles it as a dual-channel switch (双路模拟开关), prints only MSOP-10, and names TS5A23159 as the part to evaluate. The Ch column and the page title disagree. Channel count stays open until the datasheet from Jarwey is in hand.
COS12A12511 on that same table is Ch 1, SPDT, VCC 3–16 V, ICC <1 µA, RON 3.6 Ω, −3 dB 100 MHz, packages SOP-8 / MSOP-8. The live page calls it an analog switch / multiplexer, prints only MSOP-8, and names TS12A12511 / DG469 as evaluation parts. A 12 V analog rail sits in this row. It does not sit in the 1.8–5.5 V row.
The older family table is still the SPDT / USB second-source list. SOT-23-6 supply windows stay in the COS3157 vs COS4561 note — COS4561 is also 3–16 V and 3.6 Ω, but it is SOT-23-6 at 90 MHz. The other MSOP-10 parts are the USB switch and USB mux, catalogued as 2-channel DPDT, 10 Ω, 900 MHz. SPST logic polarity stays in the COS4514 / COS4515 note.
Catalog row versus what the page prints
| Part | Catalog Ch / type | Catalog VCC | Catalog ICC | Catalog RON | Catalog −3 dB | Catalog package | Page today |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| COS5A23159 | 1 / SPDT | 1.8–5.5 V | <1 µA | 1 Ω | 90 MHz | MSOP-10 / QFN-10 | Title says dual-channel; package cell is MSOP-10 only; evaluate vs TS5A23159. 993 |
| COS12A12511 | 1 / SPDT | 3–16 V | <1 µA | 3.6 Ω | 100 MHz | SOP-8 / MSOP-8 | Title says analog switch / mux; package cell is MSOP-8 only; evaluate vs TS12A12511 / DG469. 992 |
Neither page prints RON or bandwidth. Both say to request the datasheet. The electrical cells above are the catalog cells only.
Seven checks before the BOM line is frozen
- Rail first. Above 5.5 V, use the COS12A12511 3–16 V row. Near 1.8 V, use the COS5A23159 1.8–5.5 V row. The catalog does not print a third window for these two parts.
- Leave channel count open. Both catalog rows say Ch 1, SPDT. The COS5A23159 page title says dual-channel. Request the datasheet from Jarwey and use its channel drawing.
- Use the two RON numbers that are printed. 1 Ω versus 3.6 Ω. The catalog does not print the test current, so do not invent one.
- Read bandwidth from the −3 dB column. 90 MHz versus 100 MHz. The 900 MHz figure belongs to the 2-channel USB DPDT rows.
- Footprint follows the package you will buy. Pages show MSOP-10 and MSOP-8. The catalog also lists QFN-10 and SOP-8. A USB MSOP-10 land pattern is not a COS5A23159 land pattern.
- Cross-reference names are evaluation names. TS5A23159, TS12A12511, and DG469 still need a bench check. This is not an unverified replacement.
- Sample against three texts. Catalog row, page title, datasheet channel drawing. Small lots and lead time follow the project.
