COSINE Tier-1 distributor Jarwey|Low-side MOSFET gate driver: COS4423SR lists Vcc 4~25 V, COS4426SR lists 4.5~25 V

Jarwey is a COSINE Tier-1 distributor and can help with low-side MOSFET gate-driver selection, datasheets, samples, and delivery.

Copy the Vcc window from the function line on that exact page. COS4423SR, COS4424SR, and COS27423SR print Vcc 4~25V. COS4426SR and the other 1.5 A, 6 A, and 9 A pages print Vcc 4.5~25V. A driver rail from 4.0 V to 4.4 V sits inside the window printed on those three 4 A pages.

The published 4 A family table, the gate-charge step from 1.5 A to 6 A, the enable-pin note, and the 9 A page versus a SiC negative gate stay as they are. This note only places the printed Vcc floor on the right current bin.

What the function line actually prints

Package comes from the package field on the product page. The tr/tf column records whether that sentence is on the function line. None of these pages has a datasheet PDF. Ask Jarwey for the datasheet before using any number that is not printed here.

Part Package Function-line Vcc How current is written Function-line tr/tf Page
COS4423SR SOP-8 4~25V ±4 A, dual inverting about 12 ns 967
COS4424SR SOP-8 4~25V ±4 A, dual non-inverting about 12 ns 968
COS27423SR SOP-8 4~25V ±4 A, dual inverting, with enable not printed 969
COS4426SR SOP-8 4.5~25V 1.5 A, dual inverting about 11 ns 964
COS4427SR SOP-8 4.5~25V 1.5 A, dual non-inverting about 11 ns 965
COS1415 SOT-23-5 4.5~25V 1.5 A, single inverting not printed 966
COS4420SR SOP-8 4.5~25V 6 A, dual non-inverting about 14 ns 970
COS4429SR SOP-8 4.5~25V 6 A, dual inverting about 14 ns 971
COS4421SR SOP-8 4.5~25V 9 A, dual inverting; line names MOSFET/IGBT/SiC/GaN not printed 972
COS4422SR SOP-8 4.5~25V 9 A, dual non-inverting; line names MOSFET/IGBT/SiC/GaN not printed 973
COS3121SR SOP-8 4.5~25V 9 A, dual inverting, with enable; no MOSFET/IGBT/SiC/GaN phrase not printed 974

The 1.5 A, 4 A, and 6 A application lines list switch-mode supplies, motor drive, MOSFET drive, wireless charging, and line drivers. The three 9 A application lines omit MOSFET drive. The SiC/GaN wording is only on COS4421SR and COS4422SR. That point is already in the 9 A versus SiC negative-gate note. Those pages still print Vcc 4.5~25V.

Seven checks before the rail is fixed

  1. Read Vcc on this page. The three 4 A pages say 4~25V. The 1.5 A parts (COS4426SR, COS4427SR, COS1415), the 6 A parts (COS4420SR, COS4429SR), and the 9 A parts (COS4421SR, COS4422SR, COS3121SR) say 4.5~25V.
  2. A 4.0 V to 4.4 V rail is inside the printed window of the three 4 A pages only. Those pages do not print UVLO or a cold-temperature floor, and they have no PDF. Get the datasheet from Jarwey before locking a 4.0 V rail.
  3. 5 V sits in both printed windows. Still split inverting from non-inverting, check enable, peak current, and package. Coverage of 5 V on the function line is a board-level check, not an unverified swap.
  4. Edge times stay with the part that prints them. About 12 ns is on COS4423SR and COS4424SR. COS27423SR has the same 4~25V line and no tr/tf. About 11 ns is on COS4426SR and COS4427SR; COS1415 has none. About 14 ns is on the two 6 A pages. The three 9 A pages have none.
  5. The plus-minus sign is only on the 4 A lines. The 1.5 A, 6 A, and 9 A lines print an unsigned ampere figure. The page does not say whether source and sink match, so leave the sign off those rows.
  6. Enable is a separate note. COS27423SR and COS3121SR print “with enable.” Active-high or active-low, and the output level when disabled, are not on the page. See the enable-pin note.
  7. Keep the half-bridge logic supply separate. “Logic 3.3~20 V” is printed only on COS2113PBF, in the half-bridge logic-supply note. The 4 V and 4.5 V low-side floors are a different supply pin.
