Select 40V RRIO op-amps for comms, sensors, ADC: COS2170/2171/2172

Jarwey 2 2026-09-03 15:55:17

COSINE’s 40V RRIO class is listed for: communications, sensor amplification, A/D converters, portable systems, medical instruments. Use this tier when the rail is already (or going to) 36–40 V industrial—not by over-driving the 16V RRIO family, and not as a stand-in for low-voltage zero-drift parts.

Metrics follow the 2025 catalog (1/4-channel COS244/170/171/172 siblings exist—confirm package with Jarwey). Request datasheets from Jarwey.

Product features

High voltage, low power, rail-to-rail I/O, low noise density, RF immunity.

Applications (vendor-stated)

Communications · sensor amps · A/D converters · portable systems · medical instruments.

Checklist mapped to vendor applications

  1. Rail: truly 40V-class vs 16V RRIO?
  2. ADC / sensor: 1.5 vs 5 vs 10 MHz GBP for sampling/settling.
  3. Comms / portable medical: Iq 170–1200 µA and RF immunity in budget?
  4. Vos: 2 mV OK? (microvolt jobs → zero-drift.)
  5. Channel / package: dual SOP-8 vs single SOT-23-5.
  6. Samples: request datasheets/pilot qty from Jarwey.
